Terms & Conditions

About us

Posh Travel New Zealand is a Queenstown-based travel planning and booking business. Our legal business details and contact information appear on this website.

Website use

Visitors may explore destinations and submit genuine enquiries. The website must not be misused for fraud, security interference, unauthorised copying or unlawful activity.

Enquiries are not bookings

Submitting a form, selecting a destination or receiving an automatic email does not reserve a service. A booking is confirmed only after acceptance, required payment, Supplier confirmation and our written confirmation.

Our role

We arrange travel and usually act as an agent for independent hotels, transport operators, airlines and activity providers. They deliver their services. We remain responsible for our own planning, advice, communications and booking services as required by law.

Quotations

Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for seven calendar days and remain subject to availability. The accepted quotation sets out the services, inclusions, exclusions, price and payment schedule.

Payment and pricing

The quotation will state whether full payment, a deposit or staged payments apply. Known taxes and fees will be disclosed before payment. If an obvious pricing error is identified before confirmation, the client may accept the corrected price or withdraw without an avoidable charge.

Supplier conditions

Providers may have their own cancellation, check-in, baggage, age, health and safety rules. Important Supplier conditions available to us will be disclosed before the client accepts the quotation.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation charges depend on the accepted quotation, full agreement, Supplier conditions, timing, work completed, non-recoverable costs and applicable law. A Supplier's refusal to refund us does not remove a remedy owed for our own breach or a right that cannot legally be excluded.

Weather and itinerary changes

Weather, road closures, ferry disruption, safety decisions and minimum passenger numbers may require reasonable itinerary changes. We will explain significant changes and seek an appropriate alternative, credit or refund where applicable.

Flight delays and transfers

Clients must provide correct flight details and report changes promptly. Delays may cause reasonable waiting, parking, after-hours, rescheduling or replacement-transfer charges under the transport provider's disclosed terms. We will try to minimise these costs, and charges caused by our own error will not be passed on.

Transport safety

Drivers must comply with applicable New Zealand licensing, work-time, rest, fatigue and road-safety rules. Routes or times may be adjusted for safe and lawful operation. A service may be paused or ended where reasonably necessary to address unlawful conduct or a serious safety risk.

Passports, visas and entry

Travellers are responsible for valid passports, visas, NZeTA and other entry requirements. We may provide general information, but we do not provide immigration or legal advice and cannot guarantee any government decision.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance as soon as money is committed, including suitable cancellation, medical, baggage, delay and activity cover. Choosing not to obtain insurance does not remove another party's legal responsibility.

Traveller responsibilities

Travellers must provide accurate information, disclose relevant accessibility or safety needs, follow lawful instructions and behave respectfully. Serious unlawful, abusive or unsafe behaviour may result in an affected service being refused, paused or ended, subject to the agreement and applicable law.

Information and images

We take reasonable care with website information, but prices, travel times, schedules and availability may change. Images may be illustrative. The confirmed quotation and Supplier confirmation identify the actual services booked.

Privacy and security

Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy for enquiries, bookings, payments, safety and legal requirements. Marketing consent is optional. Sensitive information should be provided only through an approved secure method.

Liability and consumer rights

We are not automatically responsible for an independent Supplier's act or omission merely because we arranged its service. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility for our own breach, negligence, misleading conduct or any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.

Complaints, law and full agreement

Problems should be reported promptly so we have an opportunity to assist. These website terms are governed by New Zealand law, subject to mandatory rights. The accepted quotation and full Client Booking Agreement govern each confirmed booking and will be made available before acceptance and payment.
