Posh Travel New Zealand (we, us or our) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you use our website, contact us, request a quotation, subscribe to marketing, or ask us to arrange travel services. We handle personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. Information we collect
- Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number and country of residence.
- Travel information, such as dates, destinations, group size, traveller ages, accommodation preferences, interests, budget and special requests.
- Information needed for a quotation or booking, including relevant passport, dietary, accessibility, health or emergency information when reasonably necessary.
- Communications and transaction records, including enquiries, quotations, booking confirmations, supplier correspondence and payment status.
- Technical information, such as IP address, device or browser information, cookies and basic website activity. Our newsletter provider may also record subscription details and IP address.
2. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you through website forms, email, telephone, WhatsApp, newsletter signup, quotation and booking communications. We may also receive traveller information from a group organiser, family member, overseas travel agent or another person authorised to act for you.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare personalised travel proposals and quotations.
- To arrange and manage accommodation, transport, activities and other requested travel services.
- To communicate booking updates, safety information, changes, refunds or emergency assistance.
- To operate, secure and improve our website and business records, and meet legal, tax or dispute-management obligations.
- To send newsletters or promotional information only where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.
4. Who we may share it with
We may share personal information only where reasonably necessary with accommodation, transport, airline and activity suppliers; website, email, payment, CRM and newsletter providers; professional advisers, insurers and authorities where required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information.
5. Overseas suppliers and service providers
Some travel suppliers and technology providers may be located outside New Zealand. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we will take reasonable steps required by the Privacy Act 2020 and disclose only what is reasonably necessary.
6. Marketing communications
Newsletter subscription is optional and is separate from service or booking communications. Marketing messages will identify Posh Travel New Zealand and include a functional unsubscribe option. You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time by using that option or contacting us.

10. Group bookings and children
A person or travel agent providing information about other travellers must be authorised to do so and should make this policy available to them. Information about a child should be provided by, or with the authority of, their parent or legal guardian and only where necessary for travel planning.

We may update this policy when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will be published on our website.
